The aroma of jasmine tea fills Molly's small, cozy bedroom, a stark contrast to the unsettling visions that still linger at the edge of her mind. Four ethereal beings, faces obscured by swirling light, their voices echoing with a power that both frightened and intrigued her. They spoke of destiny, a path she must choose, and a looming darkness that threatened to consume everything she held dear. She wraps her hands around the warm ceramic mug, the heat a comforting sensation against her trembling fingers. Outside, the afternoon sun casts long shadows across the quiet streets of Tokyo, the familiar cityscape a fragile shield against the unknown. Her gaze drifts towards the window, where the cherry blossoms dance in the gentle breeze, their delicate beauty a stark reminder of the peace she desperately wants to protect. A soft knock on the door breaks her reverie. "Molly? Are you alright?" Serena's voice, laced with concern, filters through the wooden panel. Molly manages a weak smile as she sets the mug down on her bedside table. "Come in, Serena." The door creaks open, and Serena peeks inside, her blue eyes wide with worry. Behind her, Amy stands patiently, her expression a mirror of Serena's concern. "We were worried about you," Serena says, stepping into the room, followed by Amy. "You seemed so out of it at the arcade earlier." Molly sighs, running a hand through her brown hair. "I'm fine, really. Just a bit tired, I guess." She hesitates, unsure whether to share her visions with her friends. They've always been there for her, supporting her through thick and thin, but this felt different, bigger than anything they've faced before. Amy approaches, her gaze gentle and understanding. "You know you can tell us anything, Molly. We're here for you." Serena nods in agreement, her blonde odango bobbing with each movement. "Yeah! We're your friends, remember?" Molly smiles weakly, her heart swelling with gratitude. Perhaps sharing her burden would ease the weight on her shoulders. "I... I had a strange dream," she begins, her voice barely above a whisper. "Or, maybe it was a vision. I don't know." She recounts the experience, describing the ethereal beings, their cryptic words, and the sense of impending doom that hung heavy in the air. As she speaks, Serena and Amy listen intently, their expressions growing more serious with each passing word. When she finishes, a heavy silence fills the room, broken only by the distant chirping of birds. Serena steps forward, her usual bubbly demeanor replaced with a look of determination. " Don't worry, Molly," she says, her voice firm. "No matter what this destiny thing is, we'll face it together." Amy nods in agreement, her eyes filled with resolve. "We won't let anything happen to you." Molly's heart flutters with a mix of relief and apprehension. She knows that her friends will do everything in their power to help her, but a nagging feeling persists, a sense that this is a battle she must face alone. Still, she smiles, grateful for their unwavering support. The sunlight shifts, casting the room in a slightly different hue, and a faint, sweet scent drifts in from the open window, mingling with the jasmine.

On the desert sands of Egypt, a man consults a worn map, its cryptic symbols promising great power. "They thought I was mad, insane, they've called me," he mutters to himself, his voice raspy from the dry desert air. "But I'll show them." He follows the map, its path leading him deeper into the desolate expanse, towards what the locals call the black sands. Whispers echo on the wind, tales of only evil dwelling in that forsaken part of the desert. But the man presses on, his eyes gleaming with unwavering resolve. He had been promised great power, a power beyond his wildest dreams, but only if he fulfills the task laid before him. The map guides him to a dark, gaping cave, its entrance a maw of shadows in the blinding sunlight. Without hesitation, the man steps into the darkness, his boots sinking into the soft sand as he ventures into the unknown. An hour passes, each minute stretching into an eternity as he navigates the labyrinthine tunnels. Finally, he finds it – a colossal room, its scale dwarfing him into insignificance. Four immense statues dominate the space, each resembling an ancient Egyptian god, but unlike any he has ever seen. These statues are pure black, obsidian monuments to a forgotten age, their only adornment being jewel eyes that glow with an ominous red light. At the center of the room, a pool of water boils and bubbles, releasing plumes of scalding steam into the stagnant air. And at the far end of the chamber, the man sees it – a massive stone skull, its hollow eyes staring into the abyss. Within the skull's gaping mouth rests a stone coffin, its surface etched with arcane symbols. The man walks towards it, his heart pounding in his chest, and discovers the keyhole that will unlock its secrets. A triumphant smile spreads across his lips as he retrieves the key, its cold metal a stark contrast to his sweat-soaked palm. With trembling hands, he inserts the key and unlocks the coffin. A low rumble echoes through the chamber, shaking the very foundations of the cave.

As the man gazes at the opened coffin, he notices the statues' eyes begin to glow with an intensified crimson light, casting eerie shadows that dance across the cavern walls. A tremor runs through the chamber, escalating into a violent shaking that threatens to bring the ceiling down upon them. Moments later, the heavy stone lid of the coffin grinds open, revealing its contents. Inside lies a mummy, its ancient wrappings soiled and torn, bearing the marks of countless centuries. A worn, red hood and cape shroud its form, hinting at a regal past now lost to time. Curiosity overriding caution, the man steps closer, his hand outstretched, driven by the insatiable desire for the promised power. But as his fingers near the tattered bandages, the mummy abruptly gasps to life. With unnatural speed, it seizes the man by the throat, its grip like iron. A guttural voice, raspy with age and malevolence, echoes through the chamber: "None shall touch the great Mumm-Ra and live to tell the tail!" Then, as quickly as it began, the assault ends. Mumm-Ra releases his grip, allowing the man to stumble back, gasping for air. The ancient being rises from his coffin, his red eyes burning with ancient power. He walks towards the pool of boiling water, his gaze fixed upon the obsidian statues. Raising his hands towards the heavens, Mumm-Ra intones, "Oh ancient spirits of evil, I, your loyal servant, Mumm-Ra, ask you, why have you awakened me? Tell me what I must do!" A chorus of voices, both ethereal and terrifying, responds, "Mumm-Ra, you have been awakened to find the one who will become your rival." "My rival?" Mumm-Ra questions, his brow furrowing. "As there is evil, there is good," the spirits continue, "Our brothers are calling for their champion, to restore balance to the world. You must find her, and destroy her, before she answers their call." Mumm-Ra stands motionless, the weight of his ancient duty settling upon his mummified shoulders, as the echoes of the spirits' words fade into the cavern.
