Welcome to StoryZone (“StoryZone”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), an AI-powered platform for creating interactive fictional stories.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the StoryZone application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use StoryZone.

1. Eligibility

You may only use StoryZone if you:

  • are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement;
  • comply with all applicable laws;
  • meet the minimum age required in your country.

Certain features of StoryZone are intended only for adults. You may not use adult-oriented features if you are under the legally required age in your jurisdiction.

2. The StoryZone Service

StoryZone allows users to create fictional stories, characters, images and other creative content with the assistance of artificial intelligence.

The Service generates content automatically based on user input.

AI-generated content is probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies, inconsistencies, fictional statements or other unintended outputs.

StoryZone should not be relied upon for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • your account;
  • your prompts and inputs;
  • the content you intentionally create;
  • any content you publish or share outside StoryZone;
  • complying with applicable laws.

You agree not to misuse the Service or attempt to use it for unlawful purposes.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not use StoryZone to create, upload, request, promote or distribute content involving:

  • child sexual abuse material;
  • sexual content involving minors, including fictional depictions;
  • grooming or exploitation of minors;
  • non-consensual sexual content;
  • real-person intimate deepfakes;
  • human trafficking;
  • terrorism or extremist propaganda;
  • instructions for criminal activities;
  • malware, phishing or fraud;
  • hate speech or unlawful discrimination;
  • unlawful harassment;
  • copyright infringement;
  • violations of privacy or personality rights;
  • impersonation intended to deceive;
  • content prohibited under applicable law.

This list is not exhaustive.

StoryZone may determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether content violates these Terms.

5. AI Safety

StoryZone uses technical safeguards intended to reduce the generation of illegal or prohibited content.

Because generative AI is inherently probabilistic, no filtering or moderation system can guarantee that inappropriate content will never be generated.

Users must immediately discontinue any attempt to generate prohibited content.

Intentionally attempting to bypass safety systems, moderation mechanisms or technical restrictions is prohibited.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

StoryZone may use automated systems and manual review to detect violations of these Terms.

If we reasonably believe that content violates these Terms or applicable law, we may:

  • remove content;
  • restrict access;
  • suspend features;
  • suspend accounts;
  • permanently terminate accounts;
  • report illegal content where legally required.

We may take these actions with or without prior notice.

7. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the original content you create through StoryZone to the extent permitted by applicable law.

StoryZone does not claim ownership of your stories solely because they were created using the Service.

However, by using StoryZone you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to:

  • store your content;
  • process your content;
  • display your content to you;
  • transmit your content as necessary to operate the Service;
  • improve moderation and platform security.

We do not sell your stories.

8. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by artificial intelligence may:

  • be inaccurate;
  • resemble existing works;
  • contain errors;
  • contain fictional information;
  • produce unintended results.

Users are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing or sharing it.

9. Intellectual Property

The StoryZone platform, software, design, logos, trademarks and technical infrastructure remain the exclusive property of Squadhouse Media GmbH & Co. KG or its licensors.

Except as expressly permitted, no part of the Service may be copied, modified or redistributed.

10. Service Availability

We continually improve StoryZone.

Accordingly, we may:

  • modify features;
  • discontinue features;
  • introduce new functionality;
  • perform maintenance;
  • interrupt the Service temporarily.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

11. Data Storage

StoryZone is not intended to function as a permanent backup service.

Although we take reasonable measures to protect user data, we cannot guarantee permanent storage of stories, characters, images or other user content.

Users are responsible for keeping their own backups of important content.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StoryZone makes no warranties regarding:

  • uninterrupted availability;
  • accuracy of AI-generated content;
  • fitness for a particular purpose;
  • completeness of generated content;
  • error-free operation.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryZone shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from:

  • AI-generated content;
  • user-generated content;
  • interruptions of the Service;
  • loss of data;
  • misuse of the Service by users.

14. Privacy

Our collection and processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data will be processed as described therein.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other appropriate means.

Continued use of StoryZone after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law provisions, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Where legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction shall be the registered office of Squadhouse Media GmbH & Co. KG.
