The crimson sun bleeds across Na4rn’ds’ fractured skyline, casting long, skeletal shadows from the half-finished transport towers. Three days. That's all that remains before the celestial body slams into your world. You, SwingRares, Captain of… well, nothing much at the moment. A pirate costume feels absurdly out of place amidst the chaos of evacuation, but it’s a reminder. A reminder of who you are, even as the world crumbles. You adjust the worn leather of your tricorn, the green of your eyes narrowed against the dust-choked wind. "SwingRares!" Miarsa's voice, thin but laced with a familiar anxiety, cuts through the din. You spot her weaving through the crowd, her gothic attire somehow managing to look both striking and utterly practical. Sailor is right behind her, the bright white of her sailor uniform a stark contrast to the grimy faces around her. You three are a team. Or at least, that’s what everyone says. "Anything?" you ask, your voice clipped, betraying none of the turmoil churning within. Miarsa fidgets, her gaze darting nervously, "They're still rationing berths on the transports. Priority goes to… well, you know." You do. The privileged, the connected, the ones who greased the right palms. Empathy, a weakness you bury deep, threatens to surface. You shove it back down, hardening your gaze. "We find our own way," you state flatly, your charisma, usually a weapon, now a shield. Sailor nods, ever the pragmatist. "There's a transport, the 'Star Wanderer', in quadrant four. Supposedly, it’s less crowded, more… disorganized." Disorganized meant opportunity. You allow a ghost of a smile to touch your lips. "Then that's where we're going." The streets are a river of desperate souls, each clutching meager possessions, their faces etched with fear and loss. You navigate through the throng, Miarsa and Sailor close behind, a small island of resolve in a sea of despair. The air crackles with the metallic tang of ozone and the acrid stench of burning fuel. Hope is a commodity as scarce as water. You reach the 'Star Wanderer' to find not salvation, but a scene of utter pandemonium. The transport looms, a metal behemoth scarred with scorch marks. A flickering holographic sign promises passage to a new world, but the promise rings hollow. The boarding ramp is a bottleneck of bodies, and the air is thick with shouts and curses. This is it. Your last chance. You take a deep breath, the scent of ozone stinging your nostrils. This new world awaits, but first, you must fight your way there. What will you do to secure your passage?

You assess the surging crowd, your mind a whirlwind of calculations. Sailor’s unwavering loyalty is a known quantity, a steady anchor in the storm. You assess the surging crowd, your mind a whirlwind of calculations. Sailor’s unwavering loyalty is a known quantity, a steady anchor in the storm. Miarsa, on the other hand, is a volatile element, her protectiveness easily misconstrued. Your own taciturn nature doesn’t exactly smooth things over. The situation is a powder keg waiting for a spark. You can’t simply bulldoze your way onto the 'Star Wanderer'; that would trigger a riot, and you’d be trampled underfoot. Brute force is rarely the answer. Intimidation, perhaps, but even that carries risks. You consider manipulating the crowd’s desperation, playing on their hopes and fears. Plant a rumor, create a diversion…anything to thin the herd. But that feels… wrong. Too many innocent people are already suffering. Another option presents itself: find someone in charge, someone susceptible to persuasion or bribery. A harried official, a corrupt guard…someone who can be convinced to bend the rules, for the right price. That would require finesse, charisma, and a keen eye for opportunity. You decide to focus on finding an exploitable weakness in the system. Scanning the perimeter, you notice a lone guard positioned near a secondary access hatch. He looks weary, his uniform rumpled, his gaze unfocused. A glimmer of opportunity flickers in your mind. It might be a dead end, but it's worth the gamble. The guard looks like he could use a friend. What will you do?

You approach the guard, your pirate swagger a carefully constructed façade. Miarsa bristles beside you, her unease radiating in palpable waves. You approach the guard, your pirate swagger a carefully constructed façade. Miarsa bristles beside you, her unease radiating in palpable waves. You ignore her, a subtle elbow nudge silencing her unspoken protest. "Evening, officer," you say, your voice smooth, laced with just the right amount of respect. "Rough night, huh?" The guard sighs, rubbing a hand across his tired eyes. "You have no idea," he mutters, his gaze sweeping over the chaotic scene. "Just trying to keep the peace. Not that anyone appreciates it." "Oh, I appreciate it," you say, offering a disarming smile. "Takes a special kind of person to stand between order and chaos. Especially on a night like this." You pause, letting your words sink in. "Name's SwingRares," you offer, extending a hand. "Captain, actually. Though my ship's currently… grounded." He hesitates, then shakes your hand, his grip surprisingly firm. "Jansen. Just… Jansen." You detect a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. An opening. "So, Jansen," you continue, leaning in slightly, lowering your voice. "I couldn't help but notice that secondary access hatch over there. Seems… less crowded than the main ramp." Jansen shifts uncomfortably, his gaze darting towards the hatch. "That's… that's for authorized personnel only," he stammers, his voice laced with uncertainty. "Authorized personnel," you repeat, a playful glint in your eyes. "Or… people who know the right person?" You let the question hang in the air, unspoken, but heavy with implication. Jansen hesitates, his inner turmoil evident on his face. The fate of your little team hangs in the balance, contingent on a weary guard’s moral compass.
