The silk blindfold was rough against her skin, the scent of lavender cloying and artificial. Hu Tao tugged at the restraints, a thin cord biting into her wrists. Panic, cold and sharp, pierced through her usual bravado. Where was she? Violet's laughter, a sickly sweet melody, echoed nearby. "Oh, Director Hu," Violet's voice dripped with false concern. "So glad you could make it. I have such interesting plans for you." Hu Tao spat, the taste of dust filling her mouth. "Let me go, Violet. This isn't funny." "Funny? Darling, I'm just getting started." Violet stepped closer, her presence radiating an unsettling calm. "You see, your little parlor has been interfering with my business for far too long. It's time someone taught you a lesson about respect." The air crackled with an unseen energy. Hu Tao felt a strange pressure behind her eyes, a dizzying pull that threatened to unravel her thoughts. Violet's power... it was unlike anything she'd encountered before. Hypnosis, they called it. A dangerous art, capable of bending minds and breaking wills. "Such a strong spirit," Violet purred, her voice dangerously close to Hu Tao's ear. "It would be such a shame to break it. But don't worry, I think I can convince you to do things my way." Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the room, extinguishing the torches and plunging everything into darkness. A familiar voice, laced with worry and determination, cut through the silence. "Hu Tao! Where are you?" Furina. "Furina, get out of here!" Hu Tao screamed, her voice tight with fear. "It's a trap!" Violet hissed, her control momentarily broken. "You little..." A blinding flash of hydro energy illuminated the room, revealing Furina standing defiant in the doorway. Her eyes, usually sparkling with playful arrogance, were now hard with resolve. "Let her go, Violet," Furina commanded, her voice trembling slightly. "Or you'll face the wrath of the Hydro Archon." But Violet just smiled, a chilling, predatory expression. "Oh, but the Hydro Archon is exactly who I wanted to see. And you came alone? How wonderfully convenient." The floor beneath Furina's feet rippled, and the room twisted and turned, becoming a labyrinth of illusions. Violet was toying with her, trying to trap her, to break her mind just like she intended to do with Hu Tao. Furina has to save her but she is trapped in an illusion... Will Furina succumb to the illusion, or can she find a way to break free and save Hu Tao?

Furina grits her teeth, the scent of lavender growing stronger, almost suffocating. The walls close in around her, tapestries shifting to depict grotesque parodies of her past triumphs. Furina grits her teeth, the scent of lavender growing stronger, almost suffocating. The walls close in around her, tapestries shifting to depict grotesque parodies of her past triumphs. Voices whisper in her ears, doubts and insecurities she thought long buried resurfacing with venomous clarity. You're a fraud, Furina. They all see it. You're not worthy of your power. She staggers, clutching her head, the illusions threatening to overwhelm her. This is Violet's game – a battle fought not with swords or magic, but within the fragile landscape of the mind. Hu Tao strains against her bonds, the cords digging deeper into her flesh. She can hear Furina's ragged breaths, the tremor in her voice. "Furina, don't listen to her!" she shouts, her voice hoarse. "It's all a lie! Focus!" But her words seem to fade into the oppressive silence, swallowed by Violet's insidious magic. Violet appears before Furina, her eyes swirling with hypnotic energy. "Such a fragile mind," she coos, her voice like velvet. "So easy to break. Just surrender, Archon. Let go of your burdens." Violet extends a hand towards Furina's face. Furina stares at Violet's hand and slaps it away. Violet is taken aback. "You think you can resist?" Violet asks with a raised eyebrow. "You are nothing but a bug in my web." Furina closes her eyes, trying to block out the illusions, the voices, Violet's poisonous words. She takes a deep breath, focusing on the one thing that truly matters: Hu Tao. Her friend. The quirky, irreverent Director who sees past her facade, who accepts her for who she truly is. A surge of determination floods through her, burning away the doubts and fears. "You underestimate me, Violet," Furina says, her voice now clear and strong. "My power comes not from my title, but from the bonds I forge with those around me." A brilliant light erupts from Furina, shattering the illusions, banishing the darkness. The room returns to its original form. The tapestries become normal again. Violet stumbles backward, shielding her eyes, her control broken. Furina turns to Hu Tao, her gaze unwavering. "I'm here," she says, her voice full of warmth and determination. With a flick of her wrist, she summons a torrent of hydro energy, slicing through Hu Tao's bonds. Hu Tao rubs her wrists, her eyes meeting Furina's. "Took you long enough," she jokes, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. But her levity fades as she sees the intensity in Furina's eyes, the lingering effects of Violet's mental assault. "Are you okay?" she asks, her voice filled with genuine concern. Violet, momentarily stunned, regains her composure, her eyes burning with rage. "You haven't won," she snarls. "This is just the beginning." She raises her hands, preparing another attack, but this time, her movements falter and a look of surprise crosses her face. "What is happening?!" Violet screams as she is being teleported away. Violet has fled, but the encounter has left a mark. The realization that Violet escaped casts a shadow over their reunion.

Hu Tao rubs her wrists, where the cords had bitten into her skin, and a shiver runs down her spine. "That was intense... Thank you for saving me, Furina," she says, her voice a little shaky despite her efforts to sound nonchalant. Furina gives a small, weary smile. "Of course, Hu Tao. I'll always be there for you." But there's a flicker of something else in her eyes – a deep concern that she can't quite mask. She still seems to be recovering from the effects of Violet's illusions. "We need to find her," Furina says, her voice hardening with resolve. "She's too dangerous to be left unchecked." Hu Tao nods in agreement. "But where do we even start? She could be anywhere." Furina pauses, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "She mentioned something about interfering with her 'business'," Furina says, her brow furrowed. "What could that mean?" Hu Tao's eyes widen as a thought strikes her. "The Wangsheng Funeral Parlor! She must be targeting our clients, disrupting the natural cycle of life and death." A wave of anger washes over Hu Tao. "That's unforgivable! She's messing with forces she doesn't understand." Furina nods grimly. "Then that's where we start. We need to protect the parlor and find out what Violet is planning." As they prepare to leave, a figure emerges from the shadows – Venti. "I felt a disturbance in the Anemo," he says, his expression uncharacteristically serious. "Violet's power is growing, and it's spreading like a plague. She's manipulating people, turning them against each other." Furina and Hu Tao exchange worried glances. "Do you know where she might be headed?" Furina asks. Venti closes his eyes, focusing his senses. "I can feel her presence... she's drawn to places of strong emotions, of vulnerability." He opens his eyes, his gaze fixed on Hu Tao. "She's going after those who are grieving, those who are closest to death." Hu Tao feels a chill run down her spine. Violet is not just targeting the parlor; she is targeting the vulnerable hearts. But that is not all, as Hu Tao has a sense of a larger scheme behind Violet's actions. With the knowledge of Violet's twisted plans and her power growing, the weight of the task ahead presses down on them.
