The morning sun casts long shadows across the dusty training yard of Ardwill, illuminating floating blue text boxes hovering inches from Aldwin Hunt's face. He squints, freckles dancing on his nose as he tries to focus on the words swimming before him. [Welcome, Aldwin Hunt!] [The Gamer System has been initiated. Analyzing user...] [Persona Match: 97%] [Beginning Tutorial...] Aldwin blinks, momentarily forgetting the wooden practice sword clutched in his hand. "The Gamer System? What in Durmatt's name…?" Another text box appears, crisp and clear. [Observe: Allows you to gain information about your surroundings.] [Action: Observe the wooden sword.] He focuses on the sword, a worn piece of oak his father, a renowned Adventurer, had gifted him years ago. Instantly, more text floods his vision. [Wooden Practice Sword] [Durability: 6/10] [Attack Damage: 2] [A simple training tool. Useless against anything tougher than a goblin.] Aldwin grins, a spark igniting in his vibrant green eyes. "Useless against a goblin, huh? We'll see about that." He swings the sword, the wood whistling through the air. [Skill Created: Basic Swordsmanship (Level 1)] [Basic Swordsmanship (Level 1): Increases attack damage with swords by 1%. Additional effects unlock at higher levels.] [Quest Alert: Tutorial Sparring] [Objective: Spar with the training dummy.] [Reward: 50 EXP] A crude, straw-stuffed dummy stands a few feet away, patiently awaiting its beating. Aldwin bounces on the balls of his feet, eagerness bubbling within him. "Alright, System, let's see what you can really do." He charges towards the dummy, raising the wooden sword. As he swings, a small window pops up, displaying his stats. [Name: Aldwin Hunt] [Level: 1] [HP: 50/50] [Mana: 35/35] [Strength: 5] [Agility: 6] [Endurance: 5] [Intelligence: 7] [Luck: 3] The sword connects with a satisfying thwack, sending straw flying. [-2 HP] [Training Dummy HP: 48/50] [EXP Gained: 5 EXP] "Only five experience points?" Aldwin mutters, already planning his next strike. "This is going to take a while." He adjusts his grip, his mind racing with possibilities. He could become the greatest Adventurer Durmatt has ever seen, stronger than even his father. All thanks to this System. He lunges again, a grin plastered across his face, ready to grind his way to the top.

Aldwin attacks the dummy with repeated strikes and swings, a whirlwind of youthful energy and slightly clumsy swordsmanship. Each blow chips away at the dummy's dwindling health, straw scattering across the training yard like fallen snow. His green eyes are alight with determination, focused entirely on the blue numbers that flash with every hit. [-2 HP] [Training Dummy HP: 46/50] [EXP Gained: 5 EXP] [-2 HP] [Training Dummy HP: 44/50] [EXP Gained: 5 EXP] He pants, his breath coming in short bursts, but he doesn't relent. He needs to level up, to feel the power of this System coursing through him. He remembers the taunts of the older kids, the sting of their mockery because of his "freakish" eyes. This, he thinks, this is how he'll prove them wrong. [Basic Swordsmanship (Level 1) has increased due to repeated use!] [Basic Swordsmanship (Level 2): Increases attack damage with swords by 2%.] A surge of satisfaction washes over him. He can feel it, a subtle shift in his ability, a slight increase in his strength. He redoubles his efforts, swinging faster, pushing harder. [-3 HP] [Critical Hit!] [Training Dummy HP: 41/50] [EXP Gained: 15 EXP] [Level Up!] [Aldwin Hunt has reached Level 2!] [+2 Strength, +1 Agility, +1 Endurance] A wave of warmth floods his body as the System rewards his efforts. He feels stronger, faster, more alive. The world seems sharper, brighter. [Quest Complete: Tutorial Sparring] [Reward: 50 EXP, Basic Training Gear Set] Suddenly, a small package appears at his feet. He stares at it, momentarily forgetting the dummy. The System really does give you things. He kneels down and opens the package, revealing a set of worn leather armor and a slightly better wooden sword. [Basic Leather Armor] [Defense: 3] [Durability: 15/15] [Basic Wooden Sword] [Attack Damage: 4] [Durability: 8/10] He equips the armor, the worn leather feeling surprisingly comfortable against his skin. He swaps his old sword for the new one, feeling the improved weight and balance in his hand. "Aldwin! What in the blazes are you doing?" He turns to see his father, Bram Hunt, a burly man with a weathered face and kind eyes, standing at the edge of the training yard. He is dressed in practical hunting clothes. "Just practicing, Dad," Aldwin replies, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Trying to get stronger." Bram raises an eyebrow, a skeptical look on his face. "Stronger by beating up a training dummy? There are bandits in the woods, goblins in the caves. If you want to get stronger, you need to face real challenges." "I will," Aldwin says, his voice brimming with newfound confidence. "I'm ready." He glances at the System interface, a determination burning within him. He is more than ready.

Aldwin takes on the goblins in the cave. He ignores his father's sputtering protests, grabs his new wooden sword, and sprints towards the forest, the location of the nearest goblin cave burned into his memory from the town's notice board. The forest floor is a tapestry of decaying leaves and damp earth. Sunlight filters weakly through the dense canopy, casting long, dancing shadows. He arrives at the cave entrance, a jagged maw in the hillside that smells of damp earth and something vaguely unpleasant. [Quest Alert: Goblin Cave] [Objective: Eliminate the goblins in the cave.] [Bonus Objective: Retrieve the stolen silver.] [Reward: 200 EXP, Silver Ring] Aldwin grins, adrenaline pumping through his veins. He steels himself, grips his sword tighter, and steps into the darkness. The air inside the cave is thick and heavy. The only light comes from the entrance, barely illuminating the rough-hewn walls. He can hear the faint sound of chattering and the drip, drip, drip of water. [Observe: Goblin] He focuses on the sound, and a blue box appears, highlighting a hunched figure further into the cave. [Goblin] [Level: 3] [HP: 25/25] [Attack Damage: 3] [A weak but annoying creature. Prone to ambushes.] "Annoying, huh?" Aldwin mutters, stepping further into the cave. "Let's see who's annoying who." As he rounds a corner, he comes face to face with three goblins. They are small, green-skinned creatures with sharp teeth and beady eyes. They are dressed in rags and armed with rusty daggers. The goblins screech, startled by his sudden appearance. One lunges forward, dagger raised. Aldwin reacts instantly, swinging his wooden sword. [Basic Swordsmanship (Level 2)] The sword connects with the goblin's head. [-4 HP] [Critical Hit!] [Goblin HP: 21/25] [EXP Gained: 10 EXP] The goblin stumbles back, clutching its head, momentarily stunned. Aldwin presses his advantage, striking again. [-4 HP] [Goblin HP: 17/25] [EXP Gained: 10 EXP] The other two goblins attack, flanking him. He parries one dagger with his sword, the rusty metal scraping against the wood. The other goblin manages to slash at his arm. [-2 HP] [Aldwin Hunt HP: 48/50] He grits his teeth, ignoring the pain. He sidesteps the next attack and brings his sword down on the first goblin again. [-4 HP] [Goblin HP: 13/25] [EXP Gained: 10 EXP] The goblin falls to the ground, whimpering. The remaining two goblins screech in frustration and continue their assault, Aldwin knows that if he is going to survive he needs to remain vigilant. The fight is on.
