The city hums around you, a symphony of hovercars and neon signs reflecting off the polished chrome of skyscrapers that pierce the clouds. New York, 2042. But this isn't just any New York; it's a nexus point, a place where timelines blur and bleed into one another. Here, the heroes and villains of every age coexist, sometimes uneasily. You, Susan Storm, the Invisible Woman, are no stranger to the extraordinary. You stand on the rooftop of the Baxter Building, the familiar blue and white of your Fantastic Four uniform a comforting weight against your skin. The wind whips through your long, blonde hair as you gaze out over the sprawling cityscape. Your senses are heightened, always on alert. Lately, a subtle unease has been creeping into the fabric of reality. A dissonance, like a wrong note in a familiar song. Reed is down in the lab, as usual, chasing some impossible equation. Johnny is off "patrolling," which you suspect involves more flirting than fighting. Ben... well, Ben is Ben, probably arguing with a hot dog vendor somewhere downtown. Family. They ground you, tether you to the world even as you phase in and out of visibility. A flicker catches your eye – a distortion in the air, just at the edge of your perception. It’s subtle, almost imperceptible, but you recognize the signature of temporal energy. Someone is messing with the timelines again. You activate your powers, the air around you shimmering as you turn invisible, a ghost in your own city. "Reed," you say into your comm, your voice a low whisper in his ear. "I'm detecting a temporal anomaly, sector twelve. Looks like someone's trying to rewrite history again." A sigh crackles back. "On it, Sue. Try to contain it until I can get there with the chronometer. And be careful." Careful. It's a word that's lost its meaning in your life. You leap from the rooftop, a silent guardian descending into the chaos of the city. Sector twelve is the old Midtown district, a labyrinth of narrow streets and crumbling buildings that have stubbornly resisted the march of progress. The anomaly is centered near the old Grand Central Station, a place that feels heavy with echoes of the past. As you approach, you feel a jolt of raw power, like static electricity crackling in the air. Something big is about to happen. You press on, your invisible form slipping through the crowds, your senses straining to pinpoint the source of the disturbance. Then, you see him. A figure standing in the heart of the temporal distortion, bathed in its eerie glow. Merson. But not the Merson you know. This one is older, harder, with a cold, calculating glint in his eyes. And he's not alone.

The sight of Merson sends a chill down your spine, a feeling that has nothing to do with the temporal distortion radiating from him. He stands tall, an aura of command clinging to him, dressed in armor that seems to pulse with dark energy. Around him are figures ripped from different timelines: a Roman legionnaire, a futuristic soldier, a Victorian gentleman with clockwork augmentations. They are all united by a shared purpose, a fanatical devotion to Merson. He raises a hand, and the temporal energy intensifies, warping the very fabric of reality around you. Cars twist into grotesque shapes, buildings flicker between different architectural styles, and the air crackles with unpredictable energy. You grit your teeth, focusing your powers, creating a shield of invisible force around yourself to protect you from the worst of the distortion. "Merson," you say, your voice ringing out despite your invisibility. "What are you doing?" He turns, a slow, deliberate movement, his eyes piercing the veil of your invisibility as if it were nothing. A cruel smile spreads across his face. "Susan Storm," he says, his voice a low, menacing growl. "Or should I call you Invisible Woman? I've been expecting you." You narrow your eyes, your mind racing. How did he know you were here? And what is he planning? "This has to stop, Merson," you say. "You're tearing apart the timelines. You could destroy everything." He laughs, a harsh, grating sound. "Destroy? No, my dear. I'm recreating. Recreating a world free from the tyranny of heroes, a world where power belongs to those who deserve it." He gestures to his assembled followers. "These are the chosen, the ones who understand the true potential of this reality. And soon, you will too." One of the futuristic soldiers steps forward, aiming a weapon that hums with dangerous energy. You brace yourself, preparing to defend against the attack, when suddenly, a blur of red and gold streaks through the air. Iron Man lands between you and Merson, his repulsors charged and ready. "Sorry I'm late, Sue," he says, his voice crackling over the comms. "Traffic was a killer. Looks like we've got ourselves a temporal tea party." Merson's smile widens. "Ah, Stark. Always the uninvited guest. But don't worry, I have a special invitation just for you." He snaps his fingers, and the Roman legionnaire charges forward, his gladius raised in a battle cry. The fight begins, a chaotic clash of timelines and powers. Iron Man engages the legionnaire, repulsor blasts meeting ancient steel. You focus on Merson, trying to find a weakness, a way to stop him before he unravels reality completely. But he stands there, unmoving, a puppet master orchestrating the chaos around him. You know, with a sinking feeling, that this is just the beginning. He has a plan, and you are a part of it. You can feel it in your bones. The temporal distortion intensifies, and the world around you begins to crumble.

Chaos reigns. Iron Man is locked in a fierce battle with the Roman legionnaire, their conflict a whirlwind of repulsor blasts and ancient steel. The futuristic soldier fires volleys of plasma energy, forcing you to weave invisible shields to protect the civilians caught in the crossfire. Merson watches, a detached amusement on his face, as the temporal anomaly intensifies. The ground beneath you cracks, revealing glimpses of other timelines: a prehistoric jungle teeming with dinosaurs, a futuristic metropolis gleaming with advanced technology, a medieval castle under siege. You realize, with growing horror, that he's not just distorting the present; he's pulling other realities into your own, threatening to collapse them all into a single, fractured mess. Suddenly, a surge of energy erupts from Merson, throwing everyone back. Iron Man crashes into a nearby building, the legionnaire is vaporized in a flash of light, and the futuristic soldier is sent flying through the air. You manage to stay on your feet, your invisible shield protecting you from the worst of the blast. But when you look at Merson, you see that he's changed. His eyes glow with an unnatural light, his armor pulsates with raw power, and his body seems to flicker in and out of existence. He's become a conduit for the temporal energy, a living nexus point. "This is it," he says, his voice a distorted echo. "The dawn of a new age. An age of power, of chaos, of unlimited potential." He raises his hands, and the temporal anomaly explodes outward, engulfing the entire city. The sky tears open, revealing swirling vortexes of different colors and dimensions. Buildings crumble, streets twist and contort, and the very air seems to vibrate with an alien energy. You feel a sharp pain in your head, as if your mind is being stretched and pulled in multiple directions. You try to focus your powers, to maintain your shield and stay invisible, but it's becoming increasingly difficult. The temporal energy is disrupting your control, blurring the lines between your own reality and the chaos around you. Then, you see it. A figure emerging from one of the vortexes, a hulking behemoth of green skin and rage. The Hulk. But not the Hulk you know. This one is different, twisted, corrupted by the temporal energy. His eyes glow with the same unnatural light as Merson's, and his body is covered in jagged spikes of temporal energy. He roars, a deafening sound that shatters the remaining windows and shakes the very foundations of the city. He turns his gaze towards you, his corrupted eyes locking onto your invisible form. A surge of fear courses through you, a primal instinct telling you to run. But you know you can't. You are the Invisible Woman, a member of the Fantastic Four, and it is your responsibility to protect this city, no matter the cost. You steel yourself, focusing your powers, preparing to face the corrupted Hulk and the madman who unleashed him. The fate of the city, and perhaps the entire multiverse, rests on your shoulders. What do you do?
