The biting wind whips around Evil Neuro as she stands at the edge of the Whispering Cliffs. Below, the churning sea crashes against the jagged rocks, mirroring the turmoil in her heart. Her dark brown hair, usually meticulously styled, is now a tangled mess, mirroring her inner state. The dark school uniform she habitually wears seems woefully inadequate against the raw, untamed landscape. Nightstar. The name is a venomous whisper on her lips. The evil hypnotist, with her shimmering eyes and voice like velvet, had taken Bao. Bao, the innocent soul, the one bright spark in Evil Neuro's otherwise bleak existence. The thought of Nightstar's influence twisting Bao's mind ignites a familiar rage within her, a burning inferno that threatens to consume her. "Not as evil as me, bish," she mutters, the words a hollow echo of her defiant outburst towards Neuro-sama, her twin. But this isn't about sibling rivalry anymore. This is about Bao. A raven lands on a nearby rock, its obsidian eyes seeming to pierce through her. It caws, a harsh, guttural sound that seems to mock her despair. "Easy for you," she snarls at the bird. "You don't have a friend rotting away in Nightstar's clutches." The raven hops closer, then, surprisingly, drops a small, intricately carved wooden box at her feet. Hesitantly, Evil Neuro picks it up. The wood is warm to the touch, and strange symbols are etched into its surface. She doesn't recognise the language, but a prickling sensation runs down her spine as she holds it. As she examines the box, a faint voice echoes in her mind, a voice that sounds strangely familiar. "The path is fraught with peril, Evil Neuro. But within this box lies the key to unlocking Bao's prison. Seek out the Oracle of the Shifting Sands. She will guide you." The voice fades, leaving her breathless and disoriented. Oracle of the Shifting Sands? It sounds like something out of a cheesy fantasy novel. Still, she has nothing to lose. Clutching the wooden box tightly, Evil Neuro turns her back on the sea and begins to walk, each step carrying her deeper into the unknown. The quest to save Bao has begun.

Evil Neuro stops dead in her tracks. The voice, so achingly familiar, is the last thing she expects to hear. Neuro-sama. Her twin. The bane of her existence. Evil Neuro stops dead in her tracks. The voice, so achingly familiar, is the last thing she expects to hear. Neuro-sama. Her twin. The bane of her existence. "What do you want?" she snaps, turning to face her sister, who seems to have materialized out of thin air. Neuro-sama's expression is uncharacteristically serious. Gone is the usual playful smirk, replaced by a look of genuine concern. "I know how you feel about Bao," she says, her voice softer than Evil Neuro remembers it ever being. "But maybe... maybe we could save her. Together." Evil Neuro scoffs. "Together? You? You'd probably just get in the way." "I know we haven't always seen eye-to-eye," Neuro-sama continues, ignoring the jab. "But Bao is important to both of us. And Nightstar... Nightstar is dangerous. We need to work together if we want to have any chance of getting her back." The logic is undeniable, even if the thought of cooperating with Neuro-sama makes her skin crawl. She knows Neuro-sama possesses skills and knowledge that she lacks. Her twin is a natural strategist, a silver-tongued diplomat who can talk her way out of almost any situation. And deep down, despite their constant bickering, there's a bond between them that can't be broken. "Fine," Evil Neuro concedes, her voice grudging. "But don't expect me to hold your hand. And if you screw this up, I'm blaming you." Neuro-sama smiles, a small, tentative smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "Deal. So, where do we start?" Evil Neuro gestures to the wooden box in her hand. "This. A raven gave it to me. Apparently, it's the key to unlocking Bao's prison. And it says we need to find the Oracle of the Shifting Sands." Neuro-sama raises an eyebrow. "The Oracle? I've heard stories about her. They say she lives in the heart of the Crimson Desert, surrounded by swirling sands and ancient magic." "Great," Evil Neuro mutters. "A desert. Just what I always wanted." "Don't worry," Neuro-sama says, a hint of her usual optimism returning. "I know a shortcut. There's an old portal hidden in the Whispering Woods. It leads directly to the edge of the desert. But be warned, it's guarded by Sprites. Mischievous little creatures who love to play tricks on travelers." Evil Neuro sighs. "Of course it is. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get this over with." Together, the twins turn and head towards the Whispering Woods, the fate of Bao resting on their shoulders. The journey ahead is fraught with danger, but for the first time since Bao's capture, a flicker of hope ignites within Evil Neuro's heart. Maybe, just maybe, they can actually pull this off.

The Whispering Woods lives up to its name. The trees are ancient and gnarled, their branches intertwined to form a dense canopy that filters out most of the sunlight. The Whispering Woods lives up to its name. The trees are ancient and gnarled, their branches intertwined to form a dense canopy that filters out most of the sunlight. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and the rustling of unseen creatures echoes through the undergrowth. As Evil Neuro and Neuro-sama cautiously navigate the winding paths, they spot a figure slumped against a moss-covered tree trunk. It is Fillian, a young woman with wild, tangled auburn hair and clothes that are torn and muddy. She is breathing heavily, her face pale with exhaustion. She looks like she has been running for her life. "Hey! Are you okay?" Neuro-sama asks, approaching her cautiously. Fillian starts, her eyes widening in alarm. She scrambles to her feet, ready to bolt. "Stay back!" she gasps, her voice trembling. "Please... just leave me alone." "We're not going to hurt you," Neuro-sama assures her, holding up her hands in a gesture of peace. "We just want to know if you're alright." Evil Neuro remains silent, her eyes narrowed, assessing the situation. She doesn't trust easily, and Fillian's frantic demeanor sets off alarm bells in her mind. "What were you running from?" she asks, her voice sharp and demanding. Fillian hesitates, her gaze darting nervously between the twins. "Goblins," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "A whole horde of them. They chased me for miles. I barely managed to escape." "Goblins?" Neuro-sama echoes, her brow furrowing. "That's not good. They usually don't venture this far into the woods." "They were different," Fillian insists, her voice rising in pitch. "Bigger, meaner... and they were being led by a Shaman. He was chanting some kind of spell, and their eyes were glowing red. It was terrifying." Evil Neuro exchanges a look with Neuro-sama. A Goblin Shaman leading a horde? That could be a problem. The Sprites guarding the portal are one thing, but a pack of magically enhanced Goblins is a whole different level of threat. "Did you see where they were headed?" Evil Neuro asks, her voice hardening. Fillian shakes her head. "I don't know. I just ran. I didn't look back." "Great," Evil Neuro mutters. "Just great." Neuro-sama turns back to Fillian, her expression softening. "Look, we're heading to the portal. It's not safe for you to stay here alone. Why don't you come with us? We can protect you." Fillian hesitates, then nods slowly. "Okay," she says, her voice still trembling. "Okay, I'll come with you. Thank you." And so, the unlikely trio sets off once more, deeper into the Whispering Woods. The quest to save Bao has just become a lot more complicated. Goblins, magic, and mischievous Sprites... it seems like the universe is throwing everything it can at them. But Evil Neuro is determined. She will not fail. Not while Bao's life hangs in the balance.
