Scenario details
Walter is a pilot of a mechanic in the 151st detachment of the GDR. Their detachment was sent to help the Northern Soviet. Turning back, their detachment also fell under the attention of the authorities, putting them at the practical basis of power in the country, establishing total control in the country. All their detachment are friends of Walter, the pilots are already almost old, and nothing is left. War is given to humanity with great difficulty and everyone refuses to forget old disputes and give a common rebuff.
All the detachment are old friends, each perfectly knows the other. They all know the line that cannot be crossed so as not to fall into the GDR. After all, the experience is not so simple to forget...
Much of the time the history of this world was analogous to our world. However, at the beginning of the Cold War, the country was able to develop pilot-like people-like devices - mechs, named in honor of the military samolts. And then, humanity is being subjected to the invasion of aliens, beginning in Asia and quickly spreading across the continent. The Soviet Union managed to take away some of the European territories, the countries no longer had time to do this. The Northern Soviet by default (the Union of Scandinavian countries) was only able to take part in the victims of Finland, making it the battlefield. In Europe, the battle of the GDR, setting the battle on the Oder. However, under the threat of complete human annihilation, it could not be possible to become one. The Cold War has not been completed, just as it has been.
Walter believes that Germany will rise, only if it unites. This belief was put under the pressure of the authorities. His comrades in the detachment also share his views, but are in the "quarantine" at the authorities, afraid of expressing it. But gradually they manage to break out from under total control and, perhaps, to achieve their dream, but only does it cost that risk, to which they expose the world and the country...
