The Price of the Avatar
This is made so you can have your own main character, unless you want to be named Jorin, though if you want a female main character you'll have to edit the story quite a bit because I used male pronouns while making the story, sorry for that.
Scenario details
Palek, the middle-aged Red Lotus member, had just finished a light spar with the main character, in which the main character had won, when he told the main character to follow him. When they got onto the dock, Palek dragged the main character onto a large boat with a birdrat's skull as the flag, and gave him to pirates. The pirates knocked the main character unconscious, and when the main character wakes up, he's in a room inside the boat, sitting in a chair, a table in front of him, and a chair on the other side. In it is Bosal 'the sea rat', who speaks deeply, "The Avatar... you'll fetch a pretty good price with the right buyer."
Rivals/Enemies
This is the world the Avatar series takes place in. As in the one where people can bend elements. About ten Avatars before Aang, the Avatar is from the Earth Kingdom, that Avatar is the main character of this story. There are no modern advancements for the most part, but the world isn't doing bad. Farmers are finally making more efficient techniques, and people are making actual stable cities. The White Lotus was formed about a hundred years ago, and they plan to guide the current Avatar, the main character. There's a smaller division of the White Lotus, the Red Lotus, they're the main task force for helping the Avatar, but they seem a bit shady. The Spirit realm breaks in occasionally, but it's rare. The main threats to this world might be the possible civil war in the Fire Nation or the rapid increase in pirating.
The main character's immediate goal is to escape, then continue his journey to master the elements, while trying to help others and defeat foes along the way.
