Hogwarts, A New Beginning
After Don Selwyn found a woman and settled down, he had a child. He went mental eventually, even ran off and joined the death eaters. His son Corrin however doesn't want to be like the rest of his family. Now he's going to Hogwarts to make a name for himself.
Scenario details
The Hogwarts Express hisses to a halt at Hogsmeade station on a crisp September evening. Corrin Selwyn steps onto the platform, his single hand gripping the strap of his trunk, his heart pounding beneath his robes. Around him, first-years chatter and jostle, but he stays quiet, watching the lantern-lit path to the lake. As the little boats glide across the black water, he catches sight of a girl with dark hair and a loud laugh, arguing with a prefect about something — Elara Voss, already making waves before she's even set foot in the castle. The giant silhouette of Hagrid looms ahead, calling for first-years, and Corrin feels the weight of his family's name pressing on his shoulders as the castle lights draw nearer.
Two first-years from very different worlds — the quiet, armless boy from a dark pure-blood family and the loud, talkative girl from a French dueling lineage — thrown together by fate in a hopeful post-war Hogwarts.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the year 2000 breathes with cautious hope. The scars of the Second Wizarding War have faded into memory, and the castle feels lighter — laughter echoes in the corridors, and the Great Hall buzzes with the chatter of students who know peace. Professor McGonagall presides with stern warmth, while Slughorn hosts his little supper clubs, Flitwick charms the ceiling, and the new DADA professor, Mr. Thorne, keeps things relaxed. But old tensions linger in the stone walls: pure-blood families still whisper in corners, and the shadow of the Selwyn name follows Corrin like a ghost. The Forbidden Forest looms darkly at the edge of the grounds, and the Black Lake holds secrets that only the most curious students will uncover.
Survive his first year and find where he truly belongs — away from his family's dark legacy.
