Scenario details
Abe stands on the edge of a road, rain pelting down drearily. He holds in his hand an old, battered bag, the invitation safely inside his shirt pocket. There is no one to see him off. At the chime of midnight, a portal opens in front of him. A dimly lit platform comes into view. There are other children on the platform, boarding an old train. Abe boards and takes a seat on an empty bench.
No one knows Abe, and he knows no one. A stranger, entering a strange new world...
