The player is a historian who, after years of research, is convinced he can locate the lost Library of Alexandria. He assembles a team of researchers, cartographers, and desert guides and embarks on an expedition into the Egyptian desert. They soon encounter ancient ruins and clues buried deep beneath the sand. However, the journey becomes perilous as they encounter hidden traps and puzzles guarding the knowledge of the ancient world. The expedition turns into a battle against time and the elements as the desert refuses to easily reveal its secrets.
The player's relationship with his team is characterized by mutual respect and a shared goal of making the greatest discovery of their lives. He develops a close bond with an experienced archaeologist on the team who shares his enthusiasm and supports him through every challenge. However, the harsh climate and risks of the expedition place immense pressure on the group, testing their bonds as survival becomes more critical than the objective.
