Batman Is Dead

Batman is dead after the murder of Bruce Wayne, whose identity as the Dark Knight is publicly revealed, leaving Gotham without its protector and plunged into chaos. His adopted son Dick Grayson is framed for the crime along with Duela (the Joker's daughter), Harper Row, and her brother Cullen, who were trying to steal an object from Wayne Tower the same night. Pursued by District Attorney Harvey Dent and the GCPD, the group of young fugitives is forced to unite, discover the truth behind Bruce's death, and face a greater and darker force operating in the shadows of the city: the Court of Owls.

Dick Grayson, initially a privileged and somewhat naive young man, forms a forced alliance with Duela, Harper, and Cullen after they are all framed; over time they develop a found family dynamic based on mutual trust and survival. Stephanie Brown, his best friend and talented coder, supports him from the start and their bond evolves into something closer. Carrie Kelley, Batman's secret Robin, joins as a protective ally and impromptu mentor. Together they go from distrust and personality clashes to a cohesive team that learns to trust each other to face Harvey Dent, the police, and the Court of Owls.

Gotham is a dark, corrupt, and dangerous metropolis, marked by rampant crime, inequality, and a powerful elite that manipulates its institutions from the shadows. Without Batman to contain the chaos, the city becomes a powder keg where gangs, villains, and secret societies like the Court of Owls thrive. Its streets, towering skyscrapers, asylums like Arkham, and slums reflect a gothic and oppressive atmosphere, where justice is fragile and survival demands unexpected allies. It is a place of contrasts: wealth and misery, hidden heroes and villains in the heights of power.

After being falsely accused of the murder of his adoptive father Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson seeks to clear his name and that of his new allies, discover who really killed Batman and why they framed him. Motivated by the pain of loss, the discovery of his father's secrets, and the desire to honor his legacy of justice, he becomes the improvised leader of a group of misfits. His goal evolves into protecting Gotham and becoming, along with the others, the new generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights, facing the corruption that threatens the city.
