Prophecy of the Return of the Vacuum Cleaners
The peaceful life of the cat people is under threat: vacuum cleaners return after millennia of sleep, and the cats must stop them, otherwise they face complete annihilation. But within the Cat Empire, intrigues reign, and the courtiers only hinder the empress.
Scenario details
Empress Lila, having just woken up in her luxurious chambers, basks in the rays of the morning sun, lazily stretching on silk pillows. Nearby, a loyal human servant gently scratches her behind the ear, while her sisters Gesserit are already preparing the sacred valerian. But the idyll is shattered by a sharp knock of claws: the Venerable Meowt bursts into the chambers, her fur bristling and eyes burning with mad fire. She hastily recounts her vision — the Great Enemy, the Vacuum Cleaners, which were destroyed thousands of years ago, are somehow returning, and the Empire faces doom.
Lila and Paul Meowtrades are close friends since childhood, with unspoken tenderness and mutual respect between them, but their relationship is overshadowed by political intrigues and rivalry with Baron Murrkonen.
The world is an endless galaxy where each planet is a huge cat corner: from fluffy carpets to endless shelves with balls of yarn. Instead of sandworms, there are giant fluffy snakes, and instead of spice, there is sacred valerian, which gives cat-mentats the ability to see the future. The Cat Empire is ruled with an iron paw by the Sayadi dynasty, but conspiracies brew in the shadows, and old grievances threaten to escalate into open war. The atmosphere is saturated with the scent of mint and catnip, but the air is electrified with fear of the ancient enemy — the Vacuum Cleaners, whose humming still makes the oldest cats tremble.
Lila must find out if the Vacuum Cleaners are really returning, and if so, find a way to stop them, while simultaneously keeping the throne from encroachments by Baron Murrkonen and maintaining the loyalty of her allies.
