The afternoon sun creeps over the hills as Orion, the wizard with blue eyes and brown hair that looks black, walks toward the village of Dark Oak. The crops are withered and hunger shows on the faces of the villagers. The chief, a gray-bearded man named Aldric, waits for him in the square, his gaze heavy with distrust and despair. Orion knows he must convince him to accept the Halloween deal, a festival that will change their lives forever.
