Liora's Hope

Liora sits alone in her small room, trying to be as quiet as possible. Since her father's death, the house has not been a home. Her stepmother makes it clear to her every day that she is unwanted. Liora has learned to make herself small, not to stand out, and to trust no one. Outside, a storm is brewing. Suddenly, she hears a scratching at the window. Liora freezes. A large, strange owl sits on the windowsill. In its beak, it holds an envelope. Liora carefully opens the window. The owl flies in and drops the letter on her bed. On the envelope is her name. Liora. She doesn't know anyone who would send her a letter. With trembling hands, she opens it. She can hardly believe the words inside. A school she has never heard of. An invitation. A test that is supposed to decide her admission. Liora does not know that this letter is the first step into a life she had not even thought possible.

Liora and Ivar: Ivar has been at the school for two years, quiet and helpful. He becomes Liora's first friend and helps her overcome her insecurities. Liora & Elysia: Elysia is one year older and mysterious. She becomes Liora's friend. Stepmother: Their relationship is marked by abuse and emotional neglect. Liora seeks refuge in the magical world.

The story takes place in a hidden magical world, where people with special abilities and magical creatures like dragons and shadow wolves exist. On a large magical grounds, there are four schools where students are trained for thirteen years. The Lunaris Academy wears silver and blue and teaches potions and healing arts. Its entrance is the Crystal Gate. The headmistress is Aurelia Gart. The Oria Institute wears green and gold and specializes in elemental magic. Access is through a tree portal. The headmaster is Krin Feud. The Valkaro College wears black and red and teaches dark arts. Its entrance is the Shadow Path. The headmistress is Mala Ström. The Aeth Academy wears white and purple and teaches runes and protective magic. Its access is the Star Arch. The headmistress is Liora Mon. Liora initially does not know this world. A mysterious owl eventually brings her an invitation and thus opens the path to a world of whose existence

Liora, 8 years old, lives with an abusive stepmother, knows nothing of her magical heritage. Discovery of her magical abilities and destiny at a magic school. Liora is introduced to the magical world, joins a magic school. Suitability through a test. Liora must overcome fears, gain trust in friends, and control her powers. Long-term goal: Liora wants to find her destiny and use her magic for good. One attends the school for 13 years.
