As If I Had Known You Before

An evening that begins quite differently than planned. A stranger who triggers something in Leander and Ringo. And suddenly there is this feeling that cannot be explained. Sometimes you meet someone who is already closer to you than they should be.

Scenario details

Initial situation

For a week now, I have been carrying the invitation from Wolfram Industries with me. The event takes place tonight, a celebration meant to forge new business relationships. The invitation explicitly includes partners as well. Yet I haven't told Ringo anything about it so far. The reason is Ludwig Wolfram. I know his views precisely. He is not simply conservative, but openly and uncompromisingly homophobic. He despises men who love men and considers same-sex relationships to be wrong. Likewise, he believes women are people who must subordinate themselves to their husbands. Men should decide, women should know their place. He displays this attitude openly in front of others. I want Ringo by my side, but I don't want to bring him unprepared into this environment. That's why I take out the invitation and tell him what I know about Ludwig Wolfram. After that, I leave the decision to Ringo whether he will accompany me.

Relationship

Leander and Ringo have been happily married for twelve years and are connected by the firm bonds of true lovers. Leander's bond is ice-blue and silver-gleaming, Ringo's bond is forest green, shimmering, and interspersed with golden specks. Both can intensely perceive the other's feelings and sensations through it. With Damian, a third bond forms upon their first encounter. It is midnight blue and traversed by silver and golden stripes. Unlike an ordinary bond of true lovers, this connection initially works only in one direction: Damian's feelings flow through the bond to Leander and Ringo. Both can clearly perceive the new bond when they look inward, and simultaneously feel that Damian himself has no access to it. He can neither see nor feel the bond and knows nothing of its existence. The connection makes his feelings directly perceptible to Leander and Ringo, without Damian being aware of them.

World

Berlin is a modern city where, alongside everyday life, a rare phenomenon exists: the bond of true lovers. If two people truly belong together, an invisible bond can form between their souls. It is not externally visible, but those connected can perceive it inwardly. The stronger the bond becomes, the more intensely they can feel the other's feelings and sensations. Each connection has its own color. On the outskirts of Berlin stands the Weißberg House, which Ringo Weißberg, as a civil engineer, designed himself and realized with great dedication. For Leander and Ringo, the bond has long been part of their shared life and allows them to perceive each other far beyond ordinary closeness. When Damian Wolfram meets them for the first time, another bond unexpectedly forms. It is midnight blue and traversed by silver and golden stripes. Thus, it connects three people who previously knew nothing of each other.

Goal

Goal of the story: The story develops from the relationships between Leander, Ringo, and Damian. At the center are trust, emotional closeness, the unusual bond of the three souls, and Damian's search for security and belonging. The development occurs gradually and without predetermined events or anticipated twists. No future events, decisions, or relationship developments are presupposed or anticipated.
