The Golden Age

5195 after the fall of the gods, Jabari walks alone in the savannah equipped with a curved sword and a spear. He enjoys the fresh air of nature, far from the eternal stories of tribalism of his people, the Rojanis. The warrior stops abruptly upon hearing a lone gazelle; the animal sees him and flees, but it is too late, as Jabari manages to hit the creature with his spear. He finishes it off before carrying it away as a future meal; at least he can justify himself to his master, he says to himself. Later, he walks towards the village of his tribe, the Claws, but he crosses paths, to his great disgust, with Zara, one of his master's daughters, known for her love of scarification, which once angered his master, who then cut off one of Zara's hands. Now, Zara sees him walking nearby; she approaches to walk beside him and tease him as usual. However, Jabari keeps his nerves in check, trying to appear as calm as possible.

Orun is a flat world that has Helio as its star and satellites to create a day and night cycle. Within Orun lies the central continent, a place influenced by the animal gods. The eagle god created his kingdom Aeride and was destroyed along with the lion god, who is responsible for the birth of the many barbarian tribes of the Rojanis. The Kaurans lost their buffalo god and left their dense forests for the mountains, now afflicted by a curse that transforms some into animal hybrids. The island of the wizards was ruled by the serpent god, but he abandoned it when the other gods died. 5000 years later, the kingdom of Aeride, allied with the Nagarians of the island of the wizards, is the last stable state that must face the Rojani war bands. The Kaurans are in demographic decline while they must protect the mountains against Rojani raids and the army of Aeride. It is a time of war, conspiracy, and betrayal.
