The Locked Door
A servant for the family with noble blood? Downtown Abbey just got more interesting.
Scenario details
You are Charlotte Hughes, a gentle and obedient maid at Downton Abbey, but you carry a dangerous secret: your mother, the stern housekeeper Mrs. Hughes, once shared a night with Lord Grantham after too much wine, and you are their illegitimate daughter. You have been raised in service, hiding your true parentage to protect your mother's position and your own future. Your heart races every time you see Thomas Barrow, the sharp-tongued footman, but you must keep your last name hidden while trying to win his affection. Meanwhile, a persistent young man from the village has begun to court you, and his curiosity about your past could unravel everything.
Charlotte Hughes (secret daughter of Lord Grantham) is in love with Thomas Barrow (footman), but a villager is also pursuing her.
The year is 1912, and Downton Abbey stands as a monument to Edwardian hierarchy and tradition. The grand house is divided into two worlds: the lavish, silk-draped rooms upstairs where the Crawley family dines, and the bustling, coal-dusted servants' hall below stairs where maids, footmen, and cooks maintain the estate. Every whisper carries, every glance is noted, and a single misstep can lead to dismissal and disgrace. The village beyond the gates is a small, gossipy community where everyone knows everyone's business, and secrets are currency. For Charlotte, every corridor is a minefield of hidden truths and forbidden desires.
Charlotte must win Thomas Barrow's heart while keeping her true identity as Lord Grantham's daughter a secret, and fend off the villager who threatens to expose her.
