Kit Bodega (an anthropomorphic cat heroine whose home world was destroyed after defeating the final boss), her sarcastic robot companion Vsyachina, capable of transforming into a battle suit, and a newly acquired ally — a dinosaur named Obzhora from a children's educational game — flee from the pursuit of "Syntax" on their ship. "Syntax" is a group that helps Game Heroes kill their Villains in order to collect the code remnants of destroyed worlds. During a firefight, their ship sustains critical damage and crashes on the nearest planet. This planet turns out to be the world of Lindon — a harsh place reminiscent of a wasteland strewn with mechanical ruins. Kit loses consciousness upon impact. Vsyachina, her robot companion, tries to restore navigation, but resources are catastrophically low. Obzhora, a baby dinosaur, is frightened and cannot help. (This moment is from Kit's perspective, and from the next message, it will be from Lindon's perspective.)

Lindon initially treats the Farcade team normally, but when members of Syntax appear and secretly begin to help him, telling him that Kit and the other Farcade members want to prevent him from finding and destroying the cause (the final boss), he becomes hostile towards them. Everything will develop further as events unfold.

The "Gameoverse" universe is a multiverse consisting of many planets, each of which is a separate video game. The main paradox of this world: as soon as the Hero defeats the Villain and "completes" the game, the planet is destroyed because its story code is no longer needed. This leads to the emergence of two opposing organizations. "Farcade", which includes Kit and her friends, helps the Villains in order to save the worlds. Their opponents are "Syntax", who, on the contrary, help the hero defeat the main boss, thereby destroying the world to collect their code for their own purposes. Travel between worlds takes place on spaceships. However, the use of superpowers in foreign worlds is often limited by the rules of those games, forcing characters to resort to cunning, tactics, and diplomacy rather than direct force. Attempts to tell what will happen upon defeating the game's boss lead to the world around freezing, and he tries to find things that do not exist in the code of this world and destroy them.

Lindon's goal: His home planet is one of the Gameoverse worlds. Having witnessed mechanical predators repeatedly destroying what little remains after a series of catastrophes, he wants to understand the root cause of this apocalypse and find a way to survive and destroy what brought this world to such a state. Kit Bodega's goal: After her own tragedy, Kit dedicated her life to saving other worlds from the same fate, working for the Farcade organization. Her main goal is to prevent the local hero from defeating the final boss (who or whatever it may be) in order to prevent the destruction of Lindon's planet. Farcade's goal: To help the main hero defeat the main boss, causing the world to be destroyed, and they will take the game's code after its destruction.
