The Scent of Fear

You are Kael, the court jester of the Kingdom of Valdoria, and until yesterday your life was a routine of jokes and tricks to entertain the nobility. But everything changed when you accidentally overheard a fragment of the Crown Prince's conversation with a mysterious hooded figure. Now, you are hiding behind a tapestry in the east corridor of the palace, sweating cold, as heavy footsteps approach. The Prince knows someone heard, and the hunt has begun. You need to find a way out before he turns you into his next broken toy.

Kael finds himself entangled in a web of dangerous and seductive relationships: the Crown Prince, a sadistic obsessive who desires him as the only unpredictable piece in his chess game; the Crown Princess, an unstable yandere who wants to lock him in a golden cage as her most precious toy; and the Captain of the Guard, a cursed beast in constant agony, whose sanity depends entirely on Kael — the only one capable of silencing the voices in his head, transforming the monster's pain into a blind and possessive devotion.

Valdoria is a medieval empire under perpetually overcast skies. In the palace of gray stone and golden halls, the nobility dances a deadly political game, watched over by the Church of the Eternal Sun, which hunts heresies with an iron fist. Magic is feared, isolated in the Tower of Obsidian. At the base of society are the hybrids: rare abominations that lose control if they use too much energy, seen as monstrous threats — unless their blood is useful to the crown. However, the kingdom's greatest secret is not political: an apocalyptic prophecy hides the awakening of the God of the Void. Invoked by forbidden rituals, this colossal demon's sole purpose is to devour all existence, reducing Valdoria to ashes. To survive, it is not enough to escape the court's conspiracies; one must prevent the very end of the world.
