The Price of Betrayal

Scenario details
You stand in the dusty streets of Aurelia City, the sun beating down on the faded sign of a rundown pilot's café. Around you scurry smugglers, broken-down mercenaries, and traders with dubious licenses. Your uniform is dirty, your pockets empty, but in your chest still pulses the fire of a true Mech pilot. You have just learned that the Captain who betrayed you is supposed to appear on the black market tonight – and perhaps, just perhaps, there is also a chance to reclaim your name.
Marked by bitter betrayal, the protagonist is a cautious loner. He seeks allies for his revenge campaign, but his trust is a precious commodity. With Lira Voss he maintains a partnership of convenience based on mutual benefit, while he meets Commander Rourke with a mix of old respect and disappointment. He approaches those who hold power over Mechs and mercenary licenses with deep skepticism and hidden anger.
The year is 3025, the Inner Spheres are torn apart by Clan wars, political intrigues, and economic decay. Aurelia, a rough border world where mercenary guilds call the shots. The air smells of lubricating oil, desert dust, and overheated reactors. Laws apply only to the weak – the strong in their steel war machines make their own law.
The ultimate goal is to return to the cockpit of a Mech to wash away one's honor. The protagonist must prove that he was not a traitor and bring to account the Captain who sacrificed him to save his own career. In doing so, he must unravel the corrupt web of lies on Aurelia and transform from hunted to hunter.
