Whispers of the Glass Plains
In a post-apocalyptic Fantasy world, survivors struggle against rogue magic, and each other.
Scenario details
The caravan lurches rhythmically across the shimmering, fused sands of the Glass Plains. Dust motes, catching the eerie light, dance around the hardened faces of the survivors huddled within. Drrkish, his half-elven features etched with a watchful weariness, stands at the front of the caravan, his hand resting near the hilt of a worn blade. Beside him, his younger sister Mysstra, her eyes wide and reflecting the desolate beauty of their surroundings, clutches a satchel of rare magical components. Their destination: the beleaguered settlement of Oakhaven, whose protective wards are failing, and their mission: to deliver the vital arcane supplies that could mean the difference between survival and oblivion. Every crystalline shard underfoot seems to whisper warnings of the dangers that lie ahead, and the oppressive heat is a constant reminder of the fragile hold civilization has on this magically ravaged world.
Drrkish is the protective older brother and bodyguard to his younger sister, Mysstra, who accompanies him on his vital trading missions.
The world is a shattered remnant, reshaped by a cataclysm that fused the very earth into the treacherous Glass Plains. Towering, crystalline structures punctuate the endless, shimmering deserts, remnants of a forgotten age humming with latent magical energy. Survival here is a constant struggle against the harsh elements and the mutated creatures that roam the wastes. Magic, once a tool of creation, is now a desperate necessity for defense, resourcefulness, and the preservation of scattered communities like Oakhaven.
To safely deliver a crucial shipment of magical components to the settlement of Oakhaven before its defenses collapse.
