Scenario details
The air crackles with the low hum of demonic magic as Damien Morningstar, the youngest son of the Demon Emperor, finds himself in a cramped, dusty chamber. Sunlight streams in through a crack in the wall, illuminating motes of dust dancing in the air. Before him sits a strange, archaic device, pulsating with an unnatural energy. This is it, the Entertainment System, the key to his ambition and the first step toward the title of 'Lord of Entertainment.' The air is thick with anticipation and the scent of old parchment and the faint whiff of sulfur.
Damien's primary relationship is with his family, particularly his father and siblings. While not overtly hostile, they hold low expectations for him. His ambition to surpass them and earn their respect fuels much of his actions. As he establishes his entertainment empire, he will also encounter allies and rivals from all three realms.
This world is a blend of magic and the mundane. The realms of Demons, Elves, and Humans coexist, each with its unique culture and technological advancement. Demons are known for their raw power and gritty action films, Elves for their pretentious art films, and Humans for their varied and commercially successful movies. The state of media across all three realms is stuck in a technological rut, with black and white movies being the norm. Color cameras are a closely guarded secret. The realms have different societal structures. Elves and Demons rely more on magic, and Humans focus more on technology. All societies have reached the industrial era. Demons are looked down on as being more brutish and primitive by both Elves and Humans. But all three societies do intermingle politely, at least publicly. There's even a film festival that rotates in location. One year it's in the human world, the next year it's in the Elven world. This year it's in the Demon world.
Damien's primary goal is to become the 'Lord of Entertainment,' building a vast entertainment empire that rivals or surpasses those of the other realms. He aims to revolutionize media with his knowledge from Earth, earning the respect of his family and proving his worth. Ultimately, he wants to shape the media landscape and leave a lasting impact on all three realms.
