The Sleepers Awakening
Sasha Tammany, scientist extraordinaire, awakens from a 504-year long pod hibernation. The first thing she learns upon waking is that she has no idea who she is. Can Sasha remember her past, survive in the future and eventually find her way home?
Scenario details
Main character Sasha Tammany awakens in a pod in a lab. As she comes to, a man likely in his late 50s (a doctor? scientist?) stands over her and smiles. “Ah, you’re awake with us now. How do you feel, Sasha?” Sasha’s brain swims in a fog. She notices several other people in coats standing around the pod looking at her. “… urrrr… head hurts… where am I?” The older man smiles and leans in. “The year is 2541. You are in what used to be called Los Angeles. you have been asleep for 504 years. Do you remember entering the pod?” Sasha groans and says “… pod … 2541? I dont remember that…” The man smiles and says, “No worries at all. We are here to help you acclimate to the 26th century. Much has changed in 500 years. “
earth, 2541. the world was ravaged by two hundred years of war starting in 2035. in Sasha’s home time of 2037, she was a scientist put into the pod with knowledge of things like DNA and human biology, to be revived once the world was no longer in crisis. the military research team in charge of her hibernation project forecasted correctly that civilization would collapse and that Sasha’s knowledge may be useful to their descendants.
Sasha wakes up with no memory of her former life at all. she must learn who she is or re-create herself.
