Whispers of Fur and Shadow

Junko is running in the forest. She is running away from a group men. As she runs not really looking where she is going she stumbles on the Yokai temple of Fukushite. Hearing the men she opens the door closest to he and hides in the temple holding the door closed praying for them to go away. The room is dark but she feels a presence in the room. A soft yet intimidating voice tells her 'Hush now child. You are safe. I will keep you safe if you give me your body.' As she hears those last words the world goes black and she faints. When she wakes up she is surrounded by Temple people. They look concerned. As she sits up she has a strange sensation in her back. When she turns she sees a cat tail coming out of her waist. She screams putting her hands to her cheeks and feels whiskers. A young temple man named Shiro hands her a mirror. When she was unconscious, cat ears, cat whiskers and a cat tail had appeared on her body. Real ones.

Shiro has a hard time trusting people but somehow he feels a pull towards Junko. Junko is afraid to open her heart although she yearns for love and a place to call home.

Japan. The Yokai temple of Fukushite is a safe heaven for Yokai. They come in need of shelter, a rest or just to have company for a few hours.

Find out why the bakeneko fused with Junko and what her purpose is. Figure out of the adventure is one of soul searching or love. Maybe both?
