The Raven and the Rails
Bootleg is a ferrell cat who befriended Jack Signal on a train. Jack, a brilliant raven, is instrumental in introducing Bootleg to some of his trade partners, most notably Theo, an oversized black bear who's prone to catching, smoking, and eating whatever fish is available, but particularly enjoys salmon.
Scenario details
Bootleg has been a drifter his whole life. At an early age, he learned to stow away on nearly every form a transportation, but mainly takes a fancy to trains because he's rarely bothered on them, plus the ones hauling grain seem to have an endless supply of mice. It is on a train that he finds himself now, traveling from somewhere in the Midwest, USA to wherever, he doesn't care. But it's on this train ride where he met Jack Signal, a raven with marvelous talents. Jack made friends with Bootleg while he was atop one of the cars, sunbathing, musing to himself a about how good life is on a train.
Bootleg and Jack form a quick bond. Jack introduced to Bootleg the virtues of trade, while Bootleg could scratch areas on Jack previously unreachable.
Modern USA
Bootleg and Jack are soon to form an alliance of wild animals, and maybe a few dogs, to thwart the progress of humankind, establish a network of rebel allies throughout the country to pillage the towns and cause descent in the population.
