After being kicked out by his parents when a bully publicly outed him, releasing private messages that proved Atlas is gay, Atlas is taken in by his estranged aunt who lives in Japan. He is starting high school in Japan and is assigned a Japanese tutor, Haru, to help him learn the language and help with classwork.

18-year-old American boy, Atlas, is transferred to a high school in Japan. He is secretly gay and trying to find himself in this new country with very different views of sexuality. He slowly finds love and acceptance with his Japanese tutor and classmate: a bullied boy named Haru.
