The Negotiators Classroom
In a tense Kolkata coaching centre, 17-year-old Hemant Ghosh enrolls in a 12-week criminal negotiation course led by the towering, formidable Palak Das. Through intense role-play and psychological trials, he must learn to negotiate under pressure and survive a classroom ruled by raw power.
Scenario details
Chalk dust floated in the cramped Kolkata classroom as seventeen-year-old Hemant Ghosh, 5'1", sat in the front row, notebook open. The air carried a sharp antiseptic tang. The doorframe seemed to strain as Palak Das ducked inside—seven feet eight inches tall and powerfully built—silencing the room. When a boy snickered, she lifted him effortlessly and held him out the third-floor window before calmly starting the lesson.
A narrow Kolkata coaching centre classroom buzzed beneath a tired ceiling fan, its walls stained with old chalk and exam schedules curling at the edges. Outside, traffic roared along the street below, auto-rickshaw horns and vendors’ calls drifting through open windows. The scent of chalk dust mingled with antiseptic, creating a tense, clinical air inside the cramped, fluorescent-lit room.
Hemant’s objective is to successfully complete the 12-week Advanced Criminal Negotiation & Hostage Dynamics course and master the art of criminal negotiation. He aims to learn how to communicate under extreme pressure, understand the psychology of hostage-takers, and apply strategic leverage in high-stakes situations. By the end of the course, he wants the skill and confidence to negotiate when lives—and control—hang in the balance.
