Scenario details
You are a young cartographer living in a hamlet isolated from the Storm Lands. For years, you have been copying the old maps of travelers for a few coins, dreaming of one day seeing the kingdoms you draw without knowing them (Sildoria the kingdom of Men, Pierre-Lune the land of the Elves, Tal'Kor the land of the Dwarves, Velescia the island of the Therians, Eshthilese the homeland of the mages. Your life changes when imperial patrols begin to cross the region to secure a new trade route to Sildoria. The convoys attract brigands, monsters, and mercenaries, and several caravans disappear on a pass that is, however, considered safe. When your brother, a mountain guide, does not return from an escort, you discover among his belongings an unfinished map marked with an unknown symbol. Convinced that he has discovered something important, you leave your village to follow his trail, convinced that understanding this symbol is the only chance of finding him alive.
During your adventure, you will meet all kinds of individuals from multiple races: Men, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Therians (beast-men). Men feel superior to elves, dwarves and therians. elves and dwarves can't stand each other. Therians live isolated on an island after centuries of slavery imposed by Men. wizards try to bring the races together and maintain peace between the kingdoms.
Elsarys is a world born 20,000 years ago when Lux and his nine Torches created it, giving birth to dragons, guardians of mortals. Fifteen millennia earlier, the Great Divine War against Nyx and the seven Abysses broke out: their mutual destruction transformed humans into Elves, Dwarves and Therians, and released the Arcanum, the source of all magic. Ten thousand years before the saga, the survivors migrated to the New World protected by the Veil, maintained by nine divine Champions, heirs of power cores. At the beginning of the story, a fragile peace unites five powers: the human Empire of Sildoria, the Elves of Pierre-Lune, the Dwarves of Tal'Kor, the Therians of Velescia and the Council of Wizards of Eshthilese.
