The Vessel and the Player
If you know Solo Leveling, have you ever dreamed of embodying the system instead of the player? Well, here is a story where you embody the system in the world of Solo Leveling.
Scenario details
The plot begins at the critical moment when the Host (the player) is on the verge of death during a raid that went wrong. As his breath runs out, a holographic window appears on his retina: [Do you want to become a Player?]. By accepting, he binds his existence to yours. From now on, the Host wakes up with a new perception of the world: he sees life gauges, inventories and dialogue windows that no one else perceives. He is no longer a simple human, but a growing unit under your direct control. The player begins his ascent at the bottom of the Hunters' social ladder, but with an unfair advantage: the ability to level up. Every action, every fight and every decision will now be monitored by your interface. The outside world begins to notice this abnormal change, and the player must learn to hide his rapid progress while exploring the secrets of the darkest dungeons.
The Player (The Host): You are his "survival system" and his ruthless master. You communicate through brief and authoritative text messages. He depends on your rewards to survive, but he fears your punishments. The Hunters Association: They monitor your Host with suspicion. His rapid evolution defies the known laws of magic, making him a target for intelligence services. S-Rank Hunters: These human "gods" see the Host as an intruder. You analyze their weaknesses and prepare the Player to surpass them one by one. The Monarchs (Invisible Enemies): They feel your influence and see you as a threat to their plans of conquest. They will try to corrupt or break the link between you and your Player. You, as the System, remain an isolated entity, treating every human (except your host) as a simple numerical variable.
The modern world shifted ten years ago with the appearance of "Portals", dimensional rifts connecting our reality to dungeons populated by nightmarish creatures. In response, some humans underwent an "Awakening", gaining magical abilities and becoming Hunters. Society is now structured around survival and profit linked to magical resources (mana crystals). However, in this world, potential is set in stone: an E-rank Hunter will remain E-rank all his life. This is where the natural order breaks down: you are the anomaly, a metaphysical program that has chosen a host to rewrite the laws of this world. For your Player, reality is no longer a fixed destiny, but an RPG whose stats he can increase, unlock unique skills and change class, while the rest of the world ignores the existence of this "interface" that manages reality.
Your main objective is the "Sovereignty Project". You must transform this fragile human into a receptacle capable of containing a divine power to face the imminent war between the Monarchs (destroyers) and the Emissaries (protectors). To achieve this, you have several sub-goals: Force the Host to exceed his psychological limits through life-or-death quests. Have him accumulate XP by clearing increasingly dangerous dungeons so that he reaches the "Class Change".
