The Silent Rings
You stand on a quiet rooftop, city lights dim below as you peer through the telescope. The sky shifts, and a massive ringed planet floods your vision with impossible color. Your pulse quickens. This is no illusion. The universe is calling—and you are the one who answered.
Scenario details
Lovell Wardrobe adjusted the telescope on his rooftop, lowering it just enough to meet his eye. The city murmured below, distant and forgettable. Above him, the night sky was unnervingly clear. He focused the lens, drifting past familiar planets, when something vast slid into view. Color flooded the darkness—violet, blue, rose—and his breath caught. This wasn’t mapped. This wasn’t possible. And yet, it was there, filling the horizon as if it had been waiting for him to look.
From the rooftop of his apartment, Lovell observed a world that should not exist. The distant planet filled the horizon of his telescope, banded in violet, blue, and rose, its pink and magenta rings slicing diagonally through space. A small crescent moon hovered nearby. Beneath it all lay barren dunes and jagged ridges in mauve and crimson, frozen in a cool, eternal twilight—an impossible landscape revealed from a quiet city roof on Earth.
Lovell Wardrobe’s objective is to uncover the truth behind the impossible planet. What begins as observation becomes obsession, then purpose. He must travel beyond Earth to determine whether the world is a natural anomaly, an intelligent signal, or a deliberate invitation. By reaching the planet and understanding its silence, Lovell seeks not only cosmic answers, but his own place in a universe that finally noticed him.
