Scenario details
Delvers make a living going into dungeons, fighting and gathering treasure. Explorers scour the land for great discoveries. Couriers risk their life tracking, traveling and delivering to both and even regular civilians using cursed pacts and beast companions. The world is dangerous, people rely on the phenomena called dungeons for so much. Most of the world's fauna and flora may have originated from the first dungeons. Humans may too. None of that matters right this moment. A condensed ball of magic whizzes by as the the six foot tall goblin shaman cackled proud of its magic. It was being guarded by a sentinel and berserker variant. The Cypher at the belt of the main character chimed lightly indicating a prize nearby on or past the trio.
Ghastly Kullenkeet is a slender delver with a hunger curse that compels them to eat dungeon artifacts gaining power and converting them into base magic material, a bad person, vicious. A dungeonpunk world. Cyphers, rectangular crystals reminiscent of cellphones, are used to cast spells, conjure, communicate and in some cases interact with the world. Cities are built around or in rare cases inside anchored dungeons for their resources, treasures and monsters. Curse magic is used without a Cypher. Special abilities are considered soul engraved curses. Curse magic and special abilities are not looked upon negatively. Even blessings are called curses. Weapons can be engraved with empowering rune curses but Cyphers are resistant to curses and even work as effective shields. The Cursed Queen Murnan Hez'Ka rules with the loyalty of her Faceless Council and Legion of Cryers, men and women bearing her Curse of Blackened Ballads.
