The Clearance
You arrive at Block C with a blank clearance form and a familiar unease. The lobby is silent, too clean. Your meter hums before you switch it on. As you step inside, you realize this building isn't hiding something—it's waiting for you to notice
Scenario details
At 6:42 a.m., Vishnu Umar’s phone rang. “Saroj,” the voice said. “New apartment. Urgent clearance.” Vishnu looked at the empty cup beside him. Buildings always called before sunrise. He reached for his satchel, the stamp already heavy in his pocket. “Location?” he asked. “Block C, Shantinagar Extension.”
this India, ghosts are a legal matter. No house can be sold without a paranormal clearance, no land without a past check. Investigators carry stamps, not crosses, and spirits linger where records were erased. Most hauntings aren't violent—they're bureaucratic. The dead don't want revenge. They want acknowledgment
Vishnu Umar must investigate Block C and decide whether to erase a haunting or expose a buried truth. His objective is not to destroy the spirits, but to balance human convenience with forgotten lives—using law, ritual, and memory to determine whether a building deserves to be lived in, or remembered.
