Initial situation

### [Initial Situation: The Awakening of the Awakened] **"Is this... a coffin?"** His eyes widened as he felt the cold, hard concrete floor of the container beneath him. The ceiling was low, the walls were golden, and the narrow door emitted smoke. His body had been asleep in his own room, but now he was inside a prison-like structure. "Where... is this?" In a split second of confusion, a clear, blue window popped up before his eyes. The holographic screen displayed the following. `[New user recognition complete]` `You have been selected as a 'Waker'.` `Welcome to this world.` "What, this?" He tried to reach out, but his hand seemed to pass through the void. At that moment, a voice from outside rang out. As he reached towards the wall, a strange, black window appeared. `[Tutorial Start]` `Please check 'Status Window'.` "Status Window?" In a moment of hesitation, a new window appeared. Name, Level, Stats, Skills... Information similar to a typical game character's interface was displayed. He was dumbfounded. He was no longer in the world he knew. This was a new world where a master existed, the system was in charge, and people fought as 'Hunters'. And he, without any preparation, was one of the awakened who had been thrown into this world.

Relationship

The forces in this world are roughly divided into **'Associations / Guilds / Governments / Secret Forces'**. **The 'Han Do-kyung', the head of the Hunter Association**, is an S-class Hunter. He manages the information on all dungeons and missions. He intentionally discloses the global mission information selectively to block the guilds' dominance, but behind the scenes, he is operating a **secret research team that aims to uncover the true intentions of the system**. The largest guild, **'Arcadia's Guild Master, Yoon Ga-hyun** acquires top-level information more than the association, and is an avid player who wants to select S-class dungeons. She works with the association on the surface, but secretly has the **goal of taking down the association through mission rewards.** On the opposite side, there is the representative of the alliance of medium and small guilds, **'Park Jin-woo'**. He works with the association to block the dominance of large guilds, but he is a realist who uses illegal routes if necessary. In the government camp, **'Seo Na-rae', the chief of the Disaster Response Headquarters**, manipulates the association and the guilds through various political powers. Seo Na-rae is seemingly in opposition to Han Do-kyung, but both **pursue the same question, "What is the ultimate goal the system demands?"** In the secret forces, there is an information broker, **'Jeong Ra-il'**. He provides various dungeon information, mission information leakage, and Hunter scouting, and utilizes the situations of both Yoon Ga-hyun and Park Jin-woo. Finally, the **'Cheongmyeong-gyo' led by the system's new religion, Baek Si-on**, claims that the "missions of the status window are the revelations of God" and gathers followers. The association is wary of Cheongmyeong-gyo, but it cannot be ignored that they analyze global mission failures most efficiently. Especially the fact that **'Oh Yoo-jeong, who came from a former association research institute**, is affiliated with Cheongmyeong-gyo is a state in which the association–Cheongmyeong-gyo–government's complex entanglement is established. In the end, all of them are following the strategy of **"understanding and utilizing the true purpose of the system."**

World

This world began in the ordinary modern Earth. Twenty years ago, the first **'dungeons'** appeared in the sky all over the world. At first, it seemed like a phenomenon, but as dungeons settled and monsters came out of them, humanity suffered. Various incidents that did not match the logic of the time also occurred, and many cities were destroyed. At that time, the **'status window'** with the mysterious blue light appeared before some humans. They confirmed the stats of their abilities, and they were able to use the **'skills'** specialized for combat, and the number of visible combat abilities increased as the monsters were hunted. People started calling them **'Hunters'**, and each country quickly established Hunter Associations to manage dungeons and grade Hunters. Dungeons are internally formed like a 'dungeon', and if you do not clear them within a certain time, a **'dungeon break'** occurs and the monster spreads into reality. Conversely, if you are successful, resources such as **'magic stones'** similar to magic and materials can be obtained. This resource became a new industry, and the super large **'Hunter Guild'** has emerged. Although the cities regained a certain peace, the world is now divided into 'ordinary people' and 'hunters', and 'dangerous areas around the dungeons'. The broadcasting stations are broadcasting the new dungeon outbreaks and the Hunter's rankings every day, and a combat class is created in the schools for the children who are aiming to be Hunters. The atmosphere is still modern, but people's daily lives are in danger.

Goal

In this world, **the System is not a mere tool that shows your abilities**, but serves the role of a **'Mission Manager'** that designs the future of all humanity. The status windows that appear before the awakened present their level, stats, skills, and, at least, one **'Active Mission'**, which determines the future of humanity. Initially, they only presented the survival guidelines for the individual, such as "survive" or "move to a safe area", but as time went on, the missions became more complicated. If you clear a specific dungeon, you will receive a message saying, "You have advanced to the next stage", and the functions of the new system (resource, party finding, guild management, etc.) will be opened. For Hunters, there is an increasing number of unpredictable variables, **"the direction of the world the mission demands."** The system presents personal goals for each individual, collective goals for the guild, and a common **'Global Mission'** for all Hunters around the world. For example, if a mission like, "Clear all S-class dungeons within 30 days," is given, the world moves in accordance with that mission. In conclusion, the ultimate goal of this world is either **"the complete subjugation of all dungeons"** or "the final mission accomplishment of the hidden system." Some call this system 'God', and some call it the game master of the high-dimensional world. The problem is that the fact that **the missions given by the status window determine the fate of this world**.
