The Awakening of Azereth

Seeking refuge during a night of dense shadows, Eira enters an ancient ruined sanctuary. Under the altar she finds a staircase that descends into a sealed crypt, where she feels a powerful presence beating like a buried heart. In the center of the crypt, surrounded by worn symbols and ritual chains, lies an immobile man: Azereth. His body appears carved from marble, but he is not dead; the darkness emanating from him is too alive. Without knowing who he is or what he guards, Eira touches one of the runes that contain him. The mark breaks like glass, and a surge of energy runs through the room. The chains disintegrate, the temperature drops, and Azereth opens his eyes after centuries of confinement.

Eira unknowingly frees Azereth, creating an involuntary magical bond between them. At first they fear and distrust each other, but the connection forces them to stay close. Eira's magic stabilizes Azereth's power, and Azereth protects Eira from the price of her blood magic. What begins as necessity becomes contained attraction, then trust, and finally an intense and dangerous love. Their relationship is a mixture of destiny, desire, and risk: together they can save themselves... or destroy themselves.

Vaelthorne is an ancient kingdom where dark magic was never eradicated, only silenced. Its forests are thick and its shadows seem to have a will of their own. Gothic castles rise among mist-covered mountains, and old pacts with immortal creatures still whisper beneath the earth. In the cities, the nobility fears witches and forgotten deities, while in the villages the peasants leave nocturnal offerings to avoid attracting the attention of those who wander in the darkness. The ruins of ancient temples decorate the landscape: reminders of an era where mortals coexisted with divine forces now forbidden.

Eira and Azereth must learn to unite their destinies —a mortal marked by shadows and a deity condemned to oblivion— to prevent the complete awakening of his power from destroying the world… or separating them forever. As Azereth recovers fragments of his essence, his power threatens to overflow and consume all living things. The only way to stabilize it is through an emotional and magical bond with a being capable of sustaining it: Eira. But that bond demands a deep, dangerous, and forbidden intimacy for both.
