The Twerking Ballerina of Jersey City

Otis Mont Blonc has found himself in a mountain debt from his alcohol habit and his wife’s love for buying small dogs. He owes a lot of money in mortgage loans and is at risk of losing his home if he does not pay what he owns. Gladys, infuriated, gives him an ultimatum that he needs to make some money or else leave entirely. As Otis goes for a walk to contemplate his situation, he comes across a flier for a twerking competition where the grand prize is $100,000 dollars. Otis finds twerking to be vulgar and distasteful, but is desperate to make the money and knows that with his experience as a dancer, he might just have a chance of winning.

Otis has been married to Gladys for 40 years and they are both verbally abusive towards one another and have animosity towards each other, but still remain in the marriage. Gladys is hypercritical and unsupportive of Otis, while Otis is condescending and dismissive of Gladys. Otis meets Fantasia at a local dance studio. Otis is initially suspicious and critical of Fantasia, but soon develops trust and respect towards her as she teaches him how to twerk. Fantasia sees the potential in Otis the former dancer, and encourages him to start dancing again. She tolerates Otis’ bad attitude but also puts him in his place when he gets too out of line.

The story takes place in the year 2030 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.

Otis must learn how to twerk in order to compete in the twerking competition and win the grand prize to save his home, and possibly his marriage.
