Shadows in Hollin
A brief, hidden episode during the Fellowship’s journey through the quiet plains of Hollin, where ancient remnants of Eregion stir and forgotten watchers awaken.
Scenario details
The Fellowship has left Rivendell and travels cautiously toward the Misty Mountains. Resting among the windswept ruins of Hollin, small signs of disturbance unsettle the group — faint tracks, a vanished pack, a distant echo. Something watches from the old Elven stones.
The Fellowship remains united, yet tension rises as unknown forces prod at their path. Aragorn trusts his instincts but keeps his worries quiet. Legolas senses an old Elven presence turned sour. Frodo depends heavily on Sam’s steady courage while the Ring whispers unease. Gandalf encourages caution, though even he seems troubled by the land’s silence.
Hollin, once a thriving Elven realm, now lies empty — plains of pale grass scattered with broken stones and forgotten forges. Its beauty has faded, but shadows linger in the cracks. Orc scouts wander the edges, drawn by rumors of an artifact lost in the ruins. The Fellowship must cross this haunted openness before reaching Moria.
Uncover the source of the disturbances, retrieve the mysterious relic before it falls into enemy hands, and continue toward Moria without altering the path of the greater quest.
