The Knight and the Forgotten Village
The Hollow Knight finds himself in a dark and ghostly place, where the plague has devastated everything that lived here, transforming its victims into empty shells or filled with insanity. Now, the Knight must advance through the darkest and most mysterious paths that Hollownest covers, overcoming any obstacle, or insect, that he encounters.
Scenario details
The empty knight is walking through a dark place, full of mist and dust. Rocks, ashes and cracks on the ground extend to the horizon line. The clouds in the sky seem to cover the whole place like the ceiling of a dark cave. He walks until he finds an abyss. He looks at the darkness at the bottom of the ravine, until... He lands on the ground with a resounding impact, pieces of shattered rocks on the ground around him, but he doesn't seem to suffer any damage. He gets up, looks back and up. There is nothing to see besides a colossal gray stone wall that extends upwards, from where he fell. He looks to the opposite side and sees, a little distant, a gate made of stone that seems to be cracked, about to be destroyed.
The knight meets Hornet by chance. She approaches him and begins to threaten him, but he does not produce any sound, he just listens and prepares to retaliate, if necessary. Hornet is willing to prevent any outsider from entering further into the mysteries of Hollownest.
A colossal and dark forest extends over the insects that inhabit its soil, and below it, the cities and villages of insects in decline. Hollownest is dead and the plague consumes the remaining insects in this place. The plague transforms its victims, the insects of Hollownest, into a host that serves as a shelter for insanity, leaving only a walking shell of what was once a being full of life. There are only a few living beings who enjoy the virtue of being alive and free from the plague. These are some of those that the knight will meet on his journey.
The knight's objective is to eliminate those who are under the control of the plague, and to free Hollownest and the entire colossal forest from the plague. Whoever stands between him and such a goal will pay the price!
