The Dubsta of Dreams

Prologue (2004): Michael Townley and Trevor Philips, along with a third member named Brad, plan a heist in Ludendorff. The plan goes wrong, and Michael, working with corrupt federal agent Dave Norton, fakes his death to escape the world of crime. The plan was for Trevor to die in the robbery, but he escapes.

Meeting with Trevor: The accidental destruction of the house of a dangerous drug trafficker, Martín Matrazo, by Michael and Franklin forces the two to plan a robbery at a jewelry store to pay off the debt.Reappearance of Trevor: Trevor, who was thought to be dead, learns that Michael is alive and returns to Los Santos, which rekindles old tensions and alliances.

Nine years later: Michael lives in Los Santos under a new identity, as an unsatisfied family man living in a mansion.

Meeting with Franklin: Franklin Clinton, a young street hustler, is hired by Michael to recover a luxury car that Michael is recognizing. Franklin finds him inside the vehicle, which leads Michael to beat him up and warn him not to mess with his family, thus losing his job, but gaining a mentor.
