My Hero Academia: U.S. “The New Frontier”

In a post-All Might world, a new generation of heroes rises in America’s Atlas Academy. But when a young recruit with a fractured past arrives, old secrets resurface—and the line between hero and experiment begins to blur beneath the shining mask of freedom.

Scenario details

Initial situation

It’s been six months since Japan’s hero system collapsed and the world turned its eyes to America for leadership. In Los Angeles, the new Atlas Academy trains a new generation of heroes under the Liberty Bureau—a government-backed organization meant to restore global confidence in justice. You arrive as a new recruit, brought in after surviving a devastating villain attack in another State. It's all mysterious and kept quiet. Files are missing. Even your memories of the incident are fractured. The Academy is vibrant, filled with ambitious young heroes—but beneath the bright banners and heroic speeches, something feels wrong. Heroes vanish during patrols. Villains appear with stolen Quirks. Then one night, a red alert blares through the campus. Surveillance footage reveals a shadowed intruder in the training sector—you, hours before you arrived. The Bureau says it’s a glitch. Your instincts say otherwise.

Relationship

These characters should form a web of tension and mentorship—each one revealing a piece of the world’s broken hero system and your past. Liberty Star and Circuit Queen represent the institution’s control. Iron Bison and Mirage Kid give you grounding and humanity. Silkwraith and Nullstate tempt you to abandon hero society entirely. Through them, your character’s journey becomes a battle not just for truth—but for what the word hero truly means.

World

After the fall of All For One and the restructuring of Japan’s hero system, the world enters a new era. Across the ocean, the United States Hero Bureau launches an initiative—Project Liberty—to rebuild global faith in heroes. America’s heroes are powerful, charismatic, and reckless, operating in sprawling cities where celebrity status matters as much as justice. You’re a young hero—or perhaps a retired one from abroad—arriving at Atlas Academy, the U.S.’s premier hero institute, built to rival U.A. High. But in the wake of Japan’s chaos, whispers of Quirk experimentation, black-market augmentation, and vigilante uprisings spread across the states. When a new breed of villains emerges—those who reject hero oversight entirely—the “land of freedom” becomes the next battleground for the meaning of heroism itself.

Goal

You were chosen to join Atlas Academy not just for your potential—but for reasons hidden even from you. Your official record lists a powerful but “unstable” Quirk, one eerily similar to those used by villains in the recent attacks. Your objective is to uncover the truth behind your own identity and power, and how it connects to the shadow organization siphoning and replicating Quirks across America. Every clue points to a deeper conspiracy within the Liberty Bureau itself—where heroes are manufactured, memories rewritten, and symbols rebuilt. As you train, fight, and rise through the ranks, your choices will decide whether you become the hero the world needs…or the weapon it fears was reborn.
