This Privacy Policy explains how Squadhouse Media GmbH & Co. KG (“StoryZone”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use the StoryZone application, website and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using StoryZone, you acknowledge the processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Depending on how you use StoryZone, we may collect the following categories of personal data.
Account Information
When creating an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Username
- Encrypted authentication credentials
Authentication is provided through Firebase Authentication.
Device Information
We automatically collect technical information including:
- Device type
- Operating system
- App version
- Language
- Region
- Anonymous device identifiers
- Unique advertising identifiers (where available)
Usage Information
To improve the Service we may collect information such as:
- App launches
- Session duration
- Number of sessions
- Features used
- App updates
- Purchase events
- Crash information
- General usage statistics
This information is primarily collected through Google Analytics for Firebase.
Purchase Information
If you purchase subscriptions or digital products, RevenueCat processes purchase-related information including:
- User ID
- Purchase status
- Subscription status
- Anonymous device identifiers
StoryZone does not receive your complete payment information.
Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play.
Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes the information necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
3. User Content
StoryZone allows users to create stories, characters, images, prompts, audio and other creative content using artificial intelligence.
This content is stored and processed in order to:
- provide the requested functionality;
- synchronize content across devices;
- allow users to continue their stories;
- maintain platform stability;
- detect abuse and security threats;
- enforce our Terms of Use;
- comply with legal obligations.
User-generated content may also be processed for security purposes, abuse detection, fraud prevention and the enforcement of our Terms of Use.
Where necessary, automated systems and authorized personnel may review content that has been reported by users or identified as potentially violating applicable law or our Terms of Use.
We do not claim ownership of your stories.
4. Why We Process Your Data
We process personal data in order to:
- provide the Service;
- generate AI-powered content requested by users;
- authenticate users;
- synchronize user content;
- maintain account security;
- process subscriptions;
- improve app performance;
- analyze usage patterns;
- detect fraud and abuse;
- detect attempts to bypass safety mechanisms;
- investigate violations of our Terms of Use;
- improve the security, reliability and quality of the Service;
- comply with legal obligations.

AI Service Providers
StoryZone uses artificial intelligence to generate stories, images, audio and other creative content requested by users.
To provide these features, user prompts, story content, character information and other content necessary for the requested generation may be securely transmitted to AI service providers.
StoryZone currently uses:
- OpenRouter
- AI models operated directly on infrastructure controlled by StoryZone
Depending on the requested feature, OpenRouter may route requests to different AI model providers.
Only the information necessary to generate the requested output is transmitted.
StoryZone continuously evaluates its AI infrastructure and may add, replace or remove AI providers while maintaining an equivalent level of data protection where required by applicable law.
7. AI Processing
StoryZone processes user prompts, stories, character information and other content submitted by users solely for the purpose of providing the requested AI functionality.
Some AI services are operated directly on infrastructure controlled by StoryZone, while others are accessed through OpenRouter.
Only the information necessary to generate the requested output is transmitted.
StoryZone does not use user-generated stories or prompts to train its own artificial intelligence models.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- provide the Service;
- fulfill contractual obligations;
- comply with legal requirements;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce our agreements.
User-generated stories, characters and other content remain associated with the user’s account until deleted by the user or removed in accordance with our Terms of Use, unless longer retention is required by applicable law.
When data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against:
- unauthorized access;
- accidental loss;
- disclosure;
- misuse;
- alteration;
- destruction.
Although we continuously improve our security measures, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside your country of residence.
Because StoryZone uses OpenRouter to access certain AI models, AI processing may occur on infrastructure located outside the European Economic Area.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are implemented for international transfers of personal data.

- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;

StoryZone is not intended for children below the minimum legal age applicable in their jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where prohibited by law.
If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
13. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Where StoryZone is accessed through a website, cookies and similar technologies may be used to:
- maintain user sessions;
- improve website functionality;
- analyze website traffic;
- remember user preferences.
Where required by applicable law, consent will be obtained before non-essential cookies are used.

StoryZone does not sell your personal data.
